Parts of the Computer and the Body

1.
Computer Part: Central Processing Unit (CPU)
Body Part: Brain

Reason: The CPU is known to be the control unit of a computer and it interprets data submitted by different parts of the computer. It also executes commands and performs logical and arithmetic operations needed to fulfill the function of a computer. Just like the CPU, the brain is in charge in accepting data from the different sense organs and sending data as reaction every stimuli given. The brain also performs the logical and mathematical functions needed and keeps the body in check at all times. In both scenarios, the CPU and the brain are the control units of their respective systems.
2.
Computer Part: Speaker
Body Part: Tongue/Mouth
Reason: Speakers are used to produce high-quality sound on the computer. It is used to emit music, warning sounds and alarms that the computer is capable of producing. Just the like mouth or tongue, it is the body part used to produce sound and speak. Although the vocal chords are the organs needed to produce the vibrations needed to produce sound, the sound is emitted from the mouth and the tongue is used to pronounce the words. Both the speaker and the mouth are 'output devices'.
3.
Computer Part: Printer
Body Part: Hands
Reason: The printer is the most commonly used output device. It produces a hard, output copy of the computer's knowledge. Just like the printer, the hands create hard copies of the knowledge that we have in form of crafts, written material and other inventions. Anything created with our hands are manifestations of what we know just as printed copies of files show what information the computer has.
4.
Computer Part: Scanner
Body Part: Eyes
Reason: The scanner uses light sensing equipment to scan a medium and translates the pattern of the color into digital signals. The image turns up in the computer screen and can be manipulated using application software. The eye also scans the objects around us by detecting the light reflected by the different objects around us. These reflected photons are translated by our brain as images, just as the CPU translates the digital signals sent by the scanner.
5.
Computer Part: Mouse
Body Part: Nerve Endings
Reason: The mouse is an input device which sends electric signals to the computer as the laser or ball moves and causes the cursor to move. Different functions are also activated and used through clicking the mouse, dragging and others. Just like the mouse, the nerve endings of the body receive information from external stimuli and send electric signals to the brain for the body to react to the given stimuli. Through the nerve endings, the body receives information on what to do just like the mouse sends information to the computer.
6.
Computer Part: Motherboard
Body Part: Spinal Column
Reason: The motherboard is the main circuit board of the computer to which all other internal components are connected. All the wires from all parts of the computer are connected to the motherboard, just as all the nerves in the body are connected to the spinal column. All electric pulses throughout the body go through the spinal column.
7.
Computer Part: Recorders/Microphone
Body Part: Ears
Reason: The recorders or microphones are used to transmit data through sound from the user. The user is permitted to speak to the computer to give instructions. The human ear is used to acquire audio data by capturing sound waves and these waves are interpreted by the brain as sound. The vibrations that the microphone or recorders pick up are interpreted as digital signals and are translated by the CPU as understandable information for the user.
8.
Computer Part: Anti-virus Software
Body Part: Immune System
Reason: Anti-virus software protects the operating system from external threats that may corrupt files and programs. The body's immune system also protects the body and all the internal organs from infection and disease. The anti-virus deletes harmful files and warns the computer of potential viruses while the immune system kills the germs and bacteria that pose harm to the body and warns the body of infection through changes in body temperature and the like.
9.
Computer Part: CPU Fan
Body Part: Sweat Glands
Reason: The CPU fan cools down the central processing unit and all the other internal hardware to avoid overheating and destruction of the computer hardware. Constant use of the computer may increase its temperature therefore a cooling system such as a CPU fan is needed. The body reacts similarly during rigorous exercise. To cool down the body after extreme activity, the sweat glands release heat through the production of sweat.
10.
Computer Part: Peripheral Ports
Body Part: NerveItalics
Reasons: The peripheral ports are the medium through which the CPU sends information and commands needed just as the mind sends data and impulses through the nerves. The peripheral ports act as gateways to the different parts of the computer from the CPU just as the nerves act as ports to the different parts of the body.
